Twenty Physics 6B students spent their Thursday morning teaching physics to visiting middle and high school students, all as a part of the Women in Science and Engineering Day, organized by the Society of Black Engineers at UCLA. The 6B students guided our visitors through a variety of demos, including the bike-powered generator, an aluminum can motor, a neuron-simulating capacitor, a Van de Graaff generator that got everyone's hair up in excitement, some neat demos about sound and waves, and an electromagnet that launched metal rings into the air!
